Jaguar is the luxury vehicle brand of Jaguar Land Rover, which since 2013 has owned both companies. The company was founded in 1922, and its headquarters are located in Coventry, England. Though it once produced just Jaguars, they now make a variety of vehicles, including Range Rovers as well as their famous sports car model XK8s from 2007-2009 after being out for two years due to financial difficulties that ended with Ford selling them off to Tata Motors who created Jaguar Land Rover Ltd., or JLR for short.

Jaguar Land Rover announced on the 15th of February 2021 that all cars made under their Jaguar brand would be fully electric by 2025. This announcement came after Ford's joint ownership era, in which both brands have merged to form a single design and manufacturing company with one brand owner for both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. The Coventry engineering centre was closed down shortly before this merger. Still, Whitley-in Warwickshire saw increased investment from 2013 onwards as part of an expansion plan, including new facilities at Gaydon near Stratford Upon Avon, where assembly work is carried out alongside research into future technologies such as autonomous driving systems.
